The device management is used to plan work on devices in the IFQ.
The normal time of use is Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
(Take into account the occupational safety regulations and the closing times of the OvGU and the IFQ!)
The previous scheduling is intended to ensure that there is no overlap in the use of the devices and that the work processes are ensured.
For the use of each of the devices, a technical briefing must have been given by the person responsible for the device!
Individual appointments
If you only want to use a device once in the foreseeable future, please send your appointment request via email to the person responsible for the device.
The email must contain the desired day, the start and end of the planned work (time) and the device or devices required.
It makes sense to check before creating the email whether the device(s) is/ are still free on the desired date.
In order to make it easier for the person responsible for the device to make decisions in the event of overlapping appointments, brief information on the planned work and any priorities is helpful.
The person responsible for the device then creates the appointment (s) for each device required and publishes them. The requesting user should be entered in the "Description" section.
If the appointment is visible in the calendar view, it is considered confirmed.
Frequent use of the device
People who want to use one or more devices more frequently enter the appointments into the calendar themselves.
A prerequisite for this is the creation of an account for calendar management by the IFQ IT representative.

Accounts are only created for the OvGU email address!

It contains the assigned account and the start password.
You should replace this with a personal password when you log in for the first time. The passwords are not synchronized with the domain accounts of the OvGU or the IFQ.
How is an appointment entered in the calendar
If you are registered, you can apply for appointments yourself:
In the "By month" view, move the mouse over the desired day, then a + appears in the upper right corner.
Clicking on the symbol opens the appointment window for the selected day (start date / end date).
Alternatively, you can reach this appointment window by clicking on "Add an event" under the selected calendar view.
Give the appointment a name in the "Title" field. This can be briefly the planned work task or the abbreviation of the chair / department.
Under "Category" select the device that you want to use. If several devices are to be used at the same time, an individual appointment must be created for each one!
Leave the "Access Level" (Public) unchanged.
If necessary, change the start and end dates to the desired day. Appointments lasting several days are not permitted!
Enter the intended start of work and the expected end of work. Please do not block the device for other users.
The options "All day or indefinitely"," 12 hours "and "No specific end time" may only be used by those responsible for the device!
If the requested appointment is not used, the person performing it must be named in the "Description" field.
By clicking on "Save & Exit", the appointment request is entered in the calendar and the person responsible for the device is informed by email.
When he releases (confirms) the appointment, you will receive an automatic email notification.
Check your appointment, as the email does not indicate any changes that the person responsible for the device could have made.
